Why Iron Removal is Important

Iron is commonly present in groundwater and can cause serious aesthetic and operational issues. High iron content

Key Benefits

  • Imparts reddish or rusty coloration to water
  • Causes staining on sanitary fixtures, laundry, and equipment
  • Produces an unpleasant metallic taste
  • Leads to scaling and corrosion in pipelines
  • Encourages growth of iron bacteria

In water, iron exists mainly in soluble ferrous form (Fe²⁺) or ferric form (Fe³⁺). When exposed to oxygen, ferrous iron oxidizes into ferric iron and forms insoluble iron hydroxide, which can then be removed through effective filtration.

Although iron is not typically a major health hazard, excessive accumulation in the body may contribute to conditions such as hemochromatosis and certain gastrointestinal disorders. Hence, proper treatment is essential for safe and clean water supply.

Our Iron Removal Plant (IRP) Technology

Our specially designed Iron Removal Plants (IRP) are engineered to remove iron and other contaminants up to 12 PPM. The system uses advanced, high-adsorptive filtration media to eliminate even trace levels of dissolved and precipitated iron.

Key Benefits

  • Efficient removal of dissolved and oxidized iron
  • Clear, odour-free, and taste-free water
  • Reduced staining and scaling issues
  • Low maintenance and user-friendly operation
  • Suitable for domestic, commercial, and industrial use
  • Economical and energy-efficient design

Applications

Our Iron Removal Plants are widely installed in:
