SBR treats sewage in batches inside one tank — fill, aerate, settle and decant. It works well where flow changes sharply through the day, such as schools, colleges and layouts. See our SBR sewage treatment plants.
A civil STP is built with concrete tanks on site and suits larger capacities and new construction. A packaged STP comes as factory-built FRP or MS tanks, installs faster and is ideal for existing buildings, tight plots and capacities up to medium size. We build both and will tell you honestly which one makes sense for your site.
The cost of a sewage treatment plant depends on capacity, technology, civil or packaged build, automation level and how far the treated water must be polished for reuse. As a rough guide to sizing, a residential building generates about 0.5 KL of sewage per flat per day.
