Coimbatore is called the Manchester of South India for a reason. Spinning mills, weaving units, sizing units, processing houses and garment factories across the district all use water — and many generate effluent that must be treated before discharge or reuse. Intellect Aqua builds textile ETPs for every stage of the textile value chain in Coimbatore, from compact plants for weaving mills to full ETP-plus-RO systems for processing units.
The textile industry is not one industry when it comes to wastewater. Each stage produces a very different effluent:
A plant designed for dyeing effluent is overbuilt for a weaving unit; a plant designed for weaving fails on dyeing effluent. We design for your process, not a generic "textile ETP".

For smaller volumes, we build compact physico-chemical and biological plants that reduce COD and suspended solids reliably with minimal operator effort. Ask us about our compact plants for weaving mills, starting from small capacities.
Full treatment trains with equalisation, neutralisation, chemical treatment, biological treatment and tertiary filtration, sized for your worst-case batch.
Treated effluent is passed through ultrafiltration and an industrial RO plant to recover clean water for reuse in processing, which cuts fresh-water purchase.
Where consent conditions require it, RO reject goes through further concentration and evaporation. See our ZLD systems in Coimbatore.
Sizing and desizing effluent looks harmless — it is often pale and does not carry strong colour. But starch, PVA and other sizing agents add a heavy organic load that shows up as high COD in lab tests. Units that install only a basic settling tank are often surprised when their treated water fails the COD limit.
We handle this with properly sized equalisation, followed by biological treatment designed for starch-based loads, and tertiary filtration. For units using synthetic sizes, we adjust chemical treatment and biology to suit. The result is a plant that meets COD limits consistently, not just on light-load days.
Water is one of the biggest running costs for a textile unit, especially in summer when borewells weaken and tanker prices rise. Recovering treated water through UF and RO, and reusing it in processing, reduces fresh-water demand significantly. On the chemical side, good equalisation and a healthy biological stage reduce the coagulant and decolourant needed downstream. We share an estimate of water recovery and chemical consumption with every proposal, so you can see the payback before you invest.
Good dyeing needs soft water. Hardness causes uneven shades, spots and higher chemical use. Many of our textile clients pair their ETP with a water softener plant or recovered RO water for process use, so both the input and output water are under control.

We audit, test and fix the root cause — usually equalisation, biology or pre-treatment — instead of simply adding more chemicals.
We serve textile units across Coimbatore district — Somanur, Karumathampatti, Sulur, Palladam Road, Avinashi Road, Annur, Kaniyur, Mettupalayam, Pollachi, Kinathukadavu and Peelamedu.
We also build textile ETPs in Tiruppur, Erode, Karur and Chennai. For other industries, see our effluent treatment plants in Coimbatore.
